Sandy has enjoyed drawing since she was a child growing up in Baltimore, MD. Not surprisingly, Art was Sandy’s favorite class in high school. She continued her art education with several private and college classes, and she has continued taking classes with exceptional teachers in the areas where she has lived.

Creating art brings Sandy great pleasure. It is the activity that takes her out of time and space, becoming totally absorbed in what she is creating. She loves to travel and has visited many countries. She draws from these experiences and the beauty she sees around her for inspiration. Through Sandy’s work, she expresses an exploration of light, texture, and emotion through bold acrylics and rich oils. She enjoys exploring different mediums and styles including landscapes, still life, human and especially animal portraits. Since moving to Florida, the natural beauty has captured her heart, and it is reflected in much of her work. Sandy’s work is in private collections in the United States and overseas.
